Anna Munter

Psychologist

Anna is a registered psychologist and clinical psychology registrar who holds a Masters in Clinical Psychology. She has experience working with individuals and groups across the lifespan in community mental health, primary school and university settings. Anna has an interest in the neurodiversity-affirming movement. Anna has worked with clients experiencing concerns with academic performance, anxiety and mood disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), communication issues, life transitions and adjustments, pain, relationship issues, low self-esteem, sleep issues, trauma, bullying, family issues, stress, and anger. Anna works in a hospital setting when she is not at Valley Family Health.


Anna works collaboratively with clients using evidence based and individualised intervention. She uses therapy tools from play therapy, cognitive and behavioural therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and utilises recovery-oriented and client strength-based practice. She believes in finding clients’ unique values, strengths, and interests to support clients finding autonomy and meaning, and improving their mental health. Anna also conducts cognitive and educational assessments, including the diagnosis of specific learning disorders (e.g. dyslexia).


Anna consults in English and in Finnish.
