Nuala Hafner


Nuala is a registered psychologist and clinical psychology registrar with a passion for supporting adolescents and adults to live more meaningful, connected, and satisfying lives. Nuala has experience in assisting people to manage a wide range of issues including stress, anxiety, depression, interpersonal and personality difficulties, body image concerns, grief, loss and adjustment to challenging life events, and low self-esteem/self-worth. She has specific experience in health psychology, university counselling, and community and social health.

Nuala’s therapeutic approach draws on a mix of evidence-based treatments including cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, and mindfulness. Nuala has a warm and engaging interpersonal style and works collaboratively with clients to assist them in achieving personal goals. She is committed to creating an honest and non-judgmental space in which to understand each person’s unique experiences, and to work collaboratively and holistically to towards ensuring the best possible support, care, and outcomes.
