Provisional Psychologist Intern

Lauren will be completing an internship at Valley Family Health until July 2021. Interns provide low cost psychology services as part of their postgraduate professional training. See our FAQs page or call us for more information about this program.

Lauren is a provisional psychologist and PhD student in Clinical Psychology at Monash University.  She has a non-judgmental and warm therapeutic approach, and believes in tailoring therapy to harness an individual’s values, spiritual and cultural beliefs, and desired life direction.

Lauren works collaboratively with her clients; empowering individuals to achieve change, wellbeing, and meaning in their lives. Her underlying philosophy is that this looks different for everyone, and she endeavours to be a support and guide as people discover and start their own journey. Lauren utilises an evidence-based approach, incorporating techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.

Lauren is passionate about working with clients from diverse cultural, sexual, and demographic backgrounds. She has worked with clients with a wide range of issues including trauma, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, autism spectrum disorders, social difficulties, and difficulties with identity, wellbeing, and belonging.
