Provisional Psychologist Intern

Emily is a provisional psychologist completing her 4+2 internship pathway in Psychology. Emily utilises an empathetic-focussed approach whilst aiming to empower clients to apply psychological strategies beyond the therapy room. Emily aims to support clients to live a life that is rich and meaningful by understanding each individual’s struggles.

Emily has experience working with a range of individuals facing various mental health challenges. Specifically, Emily has worked with clients experiencing depression, generalised anxiety and worry, low self-esteem, stress, perfectionism, and poor overall wellbeing. Emily also has experience working with parents to support them in their parenting.

Emily takes a varied therapy approach, applying strategies from acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), schema-based approaches and cognitive and behavioural therapy (CBT). Each treatment plan is always designed accordingly to the unique needs of the client, their personal goals and situation.
