Dr Chris Tanti
Chris is a Clinical Psychologist (and Occupational Therapist) who has worked with children, adolescents and families for over 30 years in various mental health and therapy services. She has also held several research, supervision and teaching roles, in academic and clinical organisations.
Chris specialises in working with children, adolescents, parents and families to assist them through challenges in the areas of trauma and abuse/neglect, loss and grief, anxiety and depression, attachment disorders, and emerging personality disorders. She also has a particular interest and skills in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Chris brings a collaborative and empathic manner to working with clients toward their goals. She has skills in a variety of therapeutic approaches including EMDR, Trauma-Focused CBT, Psychodynamic Child Psychotherapy, Family Therapy, attachment-based therapies, and narrative therapies. In her practice Chris draws on these various approaches according to the needs and resources of individual clients. Her training in Occupational Therapy brings a holistic and functional approach to her psychological practice.
